This popular seminar is now in its 22nd year, offering intensive medical training for cruisers and racing sailors operating out of range of rapid rescue and medical assistance. The program includes approximately 12 hours of pre-course reading, study, and on-line testing followed by three days of on-site training. There are no prerequisites, but basic first aid and CPR training is recommended either before or after this program. Certification is awarded by Wilderness Medical Associates International, and earns 36 hours CME from CECBEMS.
